Radiohack (2002) 238 KB

Back in 2002 most of us were still on dial-up internet connections. Mp3 files took a while to download. Using tiny samples a music album was created in Flash. The tracks play back samples randomly and the whole album is only 238 KB. In 2002 the sounds would start instanly even on dial-up, while mp3s took minutes to download.

Tracks never play the same way twice but have a set length (more or less) and can be selected on the menu. If no selection is made after the first the tracks play through to the end

Original Flash content emulated by the Ruffle Flash Player emulator built in the Rust programming language. If you are just seeing a black screen using a recent chromium browser (Chrome, Opera, Edge) try going to settings and disabling 'Use hardware acceleration when available' in advanced: System.
