Displacements

Solo Exhibition

SNO82, May 10 to June 3 2012

Displacements is an experimental installation work that was brought together very quickly around the idea of the displacement of visual space, and the displacement of graphical abstraction in diagramatic representation, crossing over between different media. The work consists of a series of illuminated spaces or voids, rectangular boxes, computer generated graphic animation and audio, books and objects. Physical lines run through the gallery space and proceed into illusory space and are echoed by randomly changing computer graphics. The work attempts to translate or transpose geometrical graphics made for In a Few Seconds Across the Ocean (2004) into a three dimensional physical installation.
